Well the moment you have all been waiting for…. All five Year 4 adverts are ready to be viewed.

It was a hard final day on set today as nerves were tested and equipment stretched to the limits, but we coped. Just.

Today Year 4 have been following up yesterday’s smoothie tasting activity by making some smoothies of their own.  The flavours were:

• “Groovy Smoothies” pineapple, Passion fruit and mango
• “Succulent Smoothies” cranberry, raspberry and pineapple
• “Superb Smoothies” pineapple, coconut and blueberries
• “Guilty Smoothies” pineapple, mango and passion fruit
• “Simple Smoothies” pineapple, cocnut and passion fruit

Did you know that the average person sees in excess of 1500 adverts in a single day?

As part of our persuasive writing unit, Year 4 have been looking at how certain products are advertised. In particular, we have been investigating how smoothies are advertised and later in the week we will be trying to create our own smoothies and our own TV adverts – check back over the weekend to see the finished adverts (hopefully!)

In the meantime, we wanted to try a few different flavours out.  Some of us loved them all, some of us loved a few but we all liked at least one.

We have now chosen our smoothie names and the ingredients.  Tomorrow we are going to make our own smoothies and try to think of some words to describe them.  Come back and have a look at how we got on!
