Browsing Posts in Year 6 Memories and Farewells

This has probably been the best year in my life.
Thank you to Mrs Beck for giving up her time for orchestra.
I am looking forward to PHGS but are also sad about leaving this school.
I am Proud to have been apart of it and want to thank everyone.
I wish I could repeat this year.

I learnt to respect other people , to listen and try hard at work, and to work with others, and to listen to other people to play fairly.
I can remember me and Myles came to this school on the same day
I learnt how to write with a hand writing pen in Year3 and how to work as a team.
I am upset about leaving this school because, I have been at this school for 6 Years.
But I am looking forward to going to Prince Henry’s Grammar School and making and some new friends.

On the residential I learnt to over come my fear of heights.I challenged myself to climb to the top of the climbing tower. I had fun doing all the activities and with hardly stopping. I had loads of fun and I did loads of activities at Winmarleigh hall.At Winmarleigh hall we had a disco. On the way home in the coach everyone was singing but very tied. The food was very nice and there was a vegetarian option as well.

I remember in year 5 when we went to Nellbank and we went pond dipping and me and Joseph caught most of the newts.I also remember doing swimming every Friday in year 3.When I did swimming in year 3 it made me able to swim much better.I also remember in year 3 when we went to Harlow Carr gardens when me and Oliver got lost we had great fun there. In year 2 we made popcorn then we had to write about how we made it.

RESIDENTIAL

I learnt at the residential to look after myself properly and to have fun.
And be polite to adults, we also had loads of fun doing archery with safety
qualifications and we did climbing wearing a safety harness. Also
CHALLENGE BY CHOICE which means you make a target to beat. Also the
staff at Winmaliegh Hall are very nice.

I have been in drama for 3 years. Miss Wilson has made it fun so thank you very much! I won’t forget to say thank you to all the teachers that have taught me over the years! I will miss this school very much but I am looking forward to PHGS. Especially in science, when we burn things like on induction day!

Though I will miss all my friends that aren’t in my form. Though hope that I will make some new friends! I will miss everyone that has helped me over the years. Though I can’t remember much of nursery but I can remember playing in the sand pit and having lots and lots of fun!

I have really enjoyed Year 6 and all the other classes’ thank you everyone!

On the Residential at Winmarleigh Hall I learnt to just have a go at everything even if you are scared of something just have a go yourself that you’ve come over your fears of what your scared of.
On the residential i did all the activities that are team did and was because I challenged myself and all my other team mates were cheering me on so I had more confident.
Everything that I went on at Winmarleigh Hall was great fun, even when your forget about it and you just have fun.
Some of my best activities were zip wire, climbing wall and team challenges and walking along a thin piece of wire.
On the residential I went last on a few activities, because they were a bit scary, and i was a bit frightened of them because they were a bit high!

Our Residential

On our residential we went to Winmarleigh Hall on a bus journey that took us more than two hours.
On our residential we did a range of activities including zip wire, canoeing, climbing wall, monkey ropes and loads more. My favourite one was canoeing which required a lot of teamwork because if one of you paddles quickly and the other does it slowly, you won’t move in a strait. Another favourite one of mine was the climbing wall. I was one of the people who dived in and tried hard. I was a small one so I didn’t do as fast as people like Grace who did it in under 20 seconds.

Memories of Year 6

I remember when we made our classroom into a rainforest. I made a parrot, two butterflies and a flower.
I’m going to miss doing P.E. with Mr Wilce because he always made all the lessons more enjoyable. I’m looking forward to doing P.E. at PHGS because of the opportunities that will appear.

When I went on the Residential I learnt that I could challenge myself and I could complete the things I wanted to do. They had a motto called challenge by choice. Challenge by choice lets you go as far as you want to so you don’t feel scared of the activity your doing, you just have to try to reach the target that you set yourself.
I remember we did loads of of activities. My favourite activities were the zip wire, the high ropes course and the team challenge. In the team challenge you have a rope and a bucket of water and you have to go round an assault course.
We got to share rooms with our friends. Everyone was playing knock-a-door-run so our room started to think that Mr.T would come in the middle of the night and sing come on and celebrate whilst playing knock-a-door-run on us.
