Â Year 5 have been finding out about control technology and its different uses in everyday life.

In class, we have been using ‘Coco’ to create a procedure – which is a sequence of instructions.

Here, we are learning how to create a procedure to make lights switch on and off in a model of a house. The house is attached to the computer via a USB.

Great! Our procedure works! Can you see the light in theÂ bedroom?

Later, everyone created their own procedures forÂ Coco’s ‘clown’ simulation.

We even made the clown ’speak’!

Year 5 Birdwatch

This morning,Â some children in Year 5Â carried outÂ the Big Schools’ Birdwatch.Â

WeÂ kept a close eye on the feeders at the back of school and noted the most of eachÂ species thatÂ we saw together at the same time.
