Otley All Saints
CE Primary School

Mayday! Mayday!
Along with other local primary
schools, children from Otley All Saints danced around the Otley Maypole
today to celebrate the 1st May. A large crowd turned out to enjoy the
dancing, which this year took place in glorious sunshine. Afterwards
the Mayor presented all the dancers with a silver sixpence.
Many thanks to Mrs Renshaw
for sharing her enthusiasm for traditional dance with the children,
and to Mr Renshaw for playing his accordion. Also, a thankyou to the
Buttercross Belles for organising the event.

Today
we were lucky enough to be visited by Bob Hartman, writer, speaker and
story-teller extra-ordinaire!
Bob told us some stories around Easter and everyone thoroughly enjoyed
his visit.

Easter Service
Mr Thomson-Smith came down to Otley All Saints church for the first
time since starting as Headteacher today to join in our celebration
of the Easter Story.
Year 6 retold the story using 'first-hand' accounts and parents and
children joined in a selection of hymns.

All Saints does Red Nose Day 2007!
We wanted
to do something a bit different this year at All Saints so we decided
to turn our fence red! Children and staff brought in an array of red-coloured
items to attach to our normally green playground fence. They also brought
in a £1 donation to help the Red Nose Day appeal. You can see the
results by clicking here
