Winmarleigh Hall Residential
Year 6 2024-25
We have arrived! The wonderful news is that we do have a full afternoon of activities in the sunshine, which include orienteering and archery tag. All the children are happy and content. Here’s to a great first afternoon at Winmarleigh Hall!
Morning all! We are so impressed with how settled the children were last night after their quiz night. They had a bedtime story read by Mrs Sutton and lights were out by 9.45pm. We are ready to go now for this morning’s activities. On the agenda today, we have fencing, the Giant Swing, climbing and many more. Here are some smiley breakfast photos to start the day.
What a lovely Tuesday we have all had! The sun was beaming as the children enjoyed their activities. All three groups were together for the last activity of the day, which was raft-building. So much fun was had by all both on dry land/the raft and in the water.
Bedtime story once again this evening along with a yummy biscuit before bed. Our children have done so well today and lots have conquered some fears-we are super proud.
The sun has continued to shine throughout our day today. Various activities have taken place, including zip-wire, problem-solving and Jacob’s Ladder, which is a very large ladder for climbing.
The children continue to thrive and embrace the opportunities on the trip and challenging themselves. It’s been another wonderful day so we’re ready now for our supper, evening activities and some more bedtime story. We really hope you’re enjoying seeing the photos.
What a fantastic penultimate day we have had here. The children continue to amaze us and make us laugh, smile and even bring tears to our eyes. We have seen so many instances now of children challenging themselves and believing that they can climb the dizzy heights of the trapeze, or even get to the third log of Jacob’s Ladder.
Wonderful food has also been the highlight of the children’s week along with their trips to the shop to buy and bring back some Winmarleigh souvenirs. We can’t believe that Friday is already here. We will share final photos later on today with you all.
Winmarleigh 2024-what a blast we have all had! Not a drop of rain in sight (sorry parents for all the additional items of clothing not needed) and full sunshine throughout our time here. It has been truly a special week.
Thank you to Mrs Platten and Mrs Marston for giving their time this week to support and encourage the children and bring some humour to the week. We, as staff, have been so, so proud of your children for making it such a successful week. Team-building has been present throughout, which has been delightful to see.
I know that our Year 6 2024-25 cohort are going to embrace all that is ahead in their final year at Otley All Saints and it is an absolute privilege to be part of their journey.
Over and out from Winmarleigh 2024, Mrs Sutton.
